Located in the historic village of Dhërmi, Golden Summer Retreat is a hospitality project conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the traditional architecture of the Albanian Riviera. The design draws inspiration from the village’s characteristic stone houses, terracotta roofs, narrow pathways, and Mediterranean landscape, creating a strong connection between the new intervention and its surroundings. Natural stone façades, timber details, and warm-toned roof tiles give the building a timeless character, while carefully positioned openings and balconies frame views toward the sea and surrounding hills. The accommodation is organized across three levels, complemented by landscaped outdoor areas, a swimming pool, and intimate spaces for relaxation and gathering. The project embraces the sloping terrain through a series of stone terraces, pathways, and Mediterranean planting, allowing the architecture to feel naturally embedded within the landscape. With a restrained material palette and a strong respect for the architectural identity of Dhërmi, Golden Summer Retreat offers a quiet and authentic hospitality experience rooted in place.
