Faith Park is a visionary competition proposal developed in collaboration between DESSARK, JA Joubert Architecture, UNS, Archiaxis 2, Marc Ruygrok, and Marnix Vink.The project reimagines the relationship between landscape, culture, and architecture, creating a symbolic destination that celebrates collective memory and spiritual reflection.
Set into the hillside, the design embraces the natural topography, forming a circular architectural gesture that opens toward the surrounding valley. This monumental form acts as both a gathering space and a landmark, framing views while embedding itself harmoniously into the lush green environment. The structure is conceived as a place of pause and contemplation—where architecture becomes an interface between nature, faith, and community.The use of natural materials and careful orientation ensures that the intervention respects its ecological context while enhancing accessibility through connections such as the existing cable car system.
Faith Park aspires to be more than a park—it is an urban and cultural statement, offering Tirana a unique architectural icon rooted in dialogue between history, spirituality, and the landscape.
