Perched gently on the hillsides of Jalë, Jala Retreat is a hospitality project that blends contemporary architecture with the natural landscape of southern Albania. Designed to offer a serene escape, the project features a series of low-impact, modern villas that harmonize with the topography and surrounding vegetation.
The architecture emphasizes clean lines, natural materials, and expansive openings that frame unobstructed views while maximizing light and ventilation. Each unit is thoughtfully integrated into the site, maintaining privacy and a sense of seclusion, while also promoting a strong indoor-outdoor connection.Currently nearing completion, this retreat has been developed in collaboration with Ja Joubert Architecture and UNS Studio, combining international expertise with local sensibility to create a distinctive, environmentally respectful hospitality destination.
